ABOUT ME

I have been practicing and studying yoga in the Victoria community for the past 10 years. As an avid lifelong runner, I faced injuries in my early twenties which led me to adjust my movement habits and discover the world of yoga. Passionate about the holistic healing qualities and benefits I found within my own practice, I completed my 200-hour teaching certification at the Brahmanda School of Yoga in 2017 in order to share what I had gained with others. With a desire to learn more and to deepen my understanding of the body and mind, I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness at Camosun College, graduating to become a registered Kinesiologist in 2021. As a lifelong learner, I continue to advance my education under the guidance of experienced teachers and yoga therapists. As of 2025, I am a student in the UBC Master of Physical Therapy program, and I look forward to integrating this valuable knowledge into my teachings.

ABOUT MY CLASSES

My teaching approach combines my enthusiasm for yogic practices and philosophy with my education in human anatomy and exercise physiology to create classes focused on student safety, alignment, and the development of a rich mind-body connection. You can expect concise and tangible cues aimed at cultivating body awareness and engagement in your practice. Classes are designed to improve strength, mobility, and joint stability in a safe and attentive way, while soothing and nourishing the nervous system. I warmly welcome students of all levels, and build my classes around my students' specific needs and personal goals.
